I took the SFO -> AUS red-eye last night to be with my family for roughly 40 hours, and will fly back to San Francisco tomorrow night. Being away from them has been even harder than I expected, and I don’t think I could have made it through DBC otherwise.
It’s a little daunting to think that I still have two phases and six weeks left, but so far, the intensity of the program has been making the weeks go by quickly, and I’m grateful for that.
I didn’t get much sleep last night, so today was spent sleeping in, doing some prep work for phase two, and simply being with my wife and kids. My son, Oz, is just over two-years-old now, and I was amazed at how much older he seems than when I last saw him just three weeks ago.
Tomorrow will be spent relaxing as much as I can and just enjoying being home.
